The SIE awards prizes for academic excellence in Iranian Studies, including its own award for outstanding Ph.D. dissertations and the Ehsan Yarshater Book Award, funded by the Persian Heritage Foundation. Both prizes are presented to the recipients at the quadrennial ECIS conferences.
